THE PUBLISHER

Andrea O’Connell has performed chorally and as a soloist in Pennsylvania, New York, and Boston.  Her initial vocal training was with Dr. Robert Sataloff of the Voice Foundation and the JOURNAL OF VOICE.  She studied extensively with Barbara Winchester at the New England Conservatory of Music.

In the Philadelphia area, Ms. O’Connell sang with groups ranging from small ensembles to large choruses, as well as in theatre productions, and as vocalist for stage and jazz bands.  In the Boston area, she has sung with Elizabeth Norton and the Bow & Arrow Singers; the Longy Chamber Singers, conducted by Lorna Cooke de Varon; and Musica Sacra, with Mary Beekman.  She is a member of Stämbandet, the Scandinavian Vocal Ensemble, and a frequent soloist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Dedham, MA.

A graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Ms. O’Connell has spent her professional career in educational publishing.

She recently completed a term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alfred Nash Patterson Foundation (Choral Arts New England), where she also has served as Grants Committee Chair for the past four years. She is an associate member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and ACDA.
